Follow the below steps to install the compare plugin for Notepad++ version 7.7 (64 bit) and above.
1) Download the compare plugin from this GitHub link
2) Extract the files and place them under the note++ --> plugins --> ComparePlugin folder
Make sure that all the dll's are in the comparePlugin folder as shown below.
3) Re-launch notepad++ and click on plugins
You should see the "Compare" option as shown below
