Real time guitar effects software

There are a couple of really good guitar effects softwares on the internet but the free version of "Audiffex" is simply the best. This version is fully functional with 5 presets. It serves the need if you are on the road and just want to plugin your guitar to a laptop and practice some riffs.

There are the two softwares that are needed to connect your guitar to a laptop and you will be all set.

ASIO4ALL driver software is needed so that you can redirect the sound from the microphone/line-in to the headphones/speakers.

you will also need a 1/4" to 1/8" converter so that the guitar jack will be albe to connect to the laptop microphone jack.

Troubleshooting ASIO4ALL driver.
After installing ASIO4ALL driver if you open the 'control panel' from softwares like amplion and you see that one of the devices listed under "WDM Device List" is not working with an error message "Microsoft GS Software Wavetable Synth enabled?", then you need to disable exclusive access of the input/output devices.

Go to control panel.
Click Sound
Select speakers.
double click speakers/microphone.
click advanced tab
and disable Exclusive Mode.
GS Wavetable Synth and ASIO use this port exclusively. You disable exclusive, both can use it at the same time.
